Wayne Hockley’s perfect 40th birthday!

A quiet weekend on Cherry Lake, which was a little surprising given the lovely weather plus the fact that the other lakes have all fished well. Indeed normally if I nip away for a while, and this weekend I was Best Man at my brother’s wedding, the lake normally produces! The biggest of 5 Carp caught over the weekend was a 27lb Mirror and was landed by Paul Ellis.
The same cannot be said of the other lakes. Richard Mascall in Kingfisher is only half way through a fantastic session in Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Mere. So far he has landed an amazing 46 Carp, all on Cherry Lakes Dairy Cream boilies. Of these just three are under 10lb’s! I will make his story the focus of my next update assuming I get some photos.
Wayne Hockley stayed in Pochard Lodge on Cherry Mere this weekend with his partner and Mum., It was his 40th birthday treat and he was delighted with his present as you can see from his quote below
