‘The Peach’ comes out at 27-08
Saturday 2 April 2016
I have started a new job which means that I will be away from Cherry Lakes more than I would like. It also means that I miss out on some of the action and some of the detail, as well as being slower to do these updates.
This week Scott Geraghty was fishing Cherry Lake for the first time in Osprey Lodge. I was almost as delighted as he was, when he landed the Peach at her heaviest ever weight at 27-08. Fishery manager Dave Bowen was really on the ball to recognise her, as she looks much darker than normal. Dave said she looked in great shape as well as being up in weight. The Peach is one of Cherry Lake’s real target fish. Scott’s success will no doubt drive on some of our regulars who are very keen to catch her!
Joe Hicks was also fishing Grebe Lodge for the first time and was very pleased with his 19-12 Common pictured below which was caught from underneath ‘Dave’s Tree’.
The anglers on both Cherry Springs (5 Carp to 14lb) and Cherry Pool (9 Carp to 15lb) both reported Carp catches and went home happy!
