The Eldon’s love Cherry Lake!
Monday 18 July 2016
Chris Elden had a fabulous few days in Osprey Lodge with his partner Cara and baby son Alfie. We had a lovely e mail from Chris on his return to his Norfolk home which included the following line…..’We had a fantastic time at your complex and will be definitely returning in the near future. Thank you for your hospitality’!
Chris who is a field bait tester for Nash Tackle and certainly applied his obvious angling abilities. He landed an amazing 16 Carp to 28lb. Indeed catching so many he was a little unlucky not to catch a thirty. Mind you I think the few Carp that he lost were all thirties!!!
Chris, Cara and Alfie make a lovely family. The shots below of the family with a 21-04 Common, and in particular the family picture taken on the steps of Osprey Lodge will no doubt become two of my photo favourites of the year. I hope you think they are great too!
The photo of Chris with the 28lb Miror below is confirmation of the fact that the Cherry Lake Carp are at their low point of the year. This Carp normally comes out between 32-34lb. She has got a lot of feeding to do! Once this hot spell finishes I am sure the carp will be back on it.
James Henry who was also a first time visitor to Cherry Lakes this weekend. Despite the growing heat, he was very happy with his 6 Carp to 21lb from Pochard Lodge on Cherry Mere. As was partner Sharon who literally spent most of her time sunbathing! James is also promising to come back. Happy days!
