Teagle brothers both land 30's from Grebe Lodge

The fishing this week across most of the complex has largely picked up. The exception being Cherry Mere which for some reason has been slow.

Since my last update a week ago we have had over 20 Carp landed from Cherry Lake. This included 4 over 30lb. We are now up to 60 different Carp over 30lb in this year's Cherry Lake catalogue. And we have plenty of the big 30's and 40's from last year on the 'missing list'. Most of whom I would hope to see this autumn as they get on the feed.

Top rods over the last week have been the Teagle brothers who stayed in Grebe Lodge.

Younger brother Lee had the biggest of the 8 Carp they shared. A night time chunk of a Mirror weighing in at 38-12, pictured below.

Older brother Ben had the prettiest of the week when he landed a 30-04 heavily scaled Mirror, pictured in the lead photo above.

I understand fishing close to the margins in the shallows with small baits made the difference.

Fishing couple Nick and Monica Christie made their first visit to Cherry Lakes this week and stayed in Egret Lodge.

They landed 15 Carp between them including this stunning fully scaled Mirror to Nick of 30-02. Nick also landed a 6lb+ Tench, a specimen not to be 'sneezed at'

Monica also landed a couple of nice twenties including this 22lb Common below.
