Stephen Lawrence is a Kingfisher!

It has been beautiful here at Cherry Lakes this week. Lovely sunny days with the Carp very visible on all of our lakes. The high pressure has meant though that the Carp are definitely more interested in sun bathing than feeding! Typical behaviour with the first real sunny spell of the year.

Stephen Lawrence is staying this weekend in Kingfisher Lodge on Cherry Springs. It is his first visit and has already told me he is returning! Stephen followed fishery manager's Dave advice to fish close to the far bank and follow the sun round. He used a Baitboat to carefully position his rigs and feed. As you can see he has had a cracking start. Within his first 24 hours on the lake, Stephen has landed two impressive 20's of 25lb (See picture above) and 24-10 (below). He ha also had a very attractive Ghost Common of 16lb (also below. Well done Stephen. A good start and fingers crossed for the rest of your visit.

Gary Gardener is also on his first visit to Cherry Lakes and is fishing from Pochard Lodge on Cherry Mere. He has also made an impressive start with a 25lb Mirror. Despite trying myself to forward the photo, I still have not got it....so sorry no photo yet. Blame me! Not bad though...........with both of our exclusive Carp waters producing a 25lb+ Mirror on the same weekend and we are not yet into April.

Unusually we have all three Cherry Lake Lodges (Heron, Osprey and Grebe) still available for Friday 12 to Monday 15 April.
