Malcolm is delighted with his new PB. Graham’s brace is great too!

Malcolm Quayle was like a ‘Cheshire Cat’ this morning with a smile beaming right across his face! Why? It was because he was telling me about his new PB Common of 26-08 as well as two other stunning 20lb+ Mirrors. He has also still got 24 hours to go!
Cherry Lake has been very quiet, angler wise this week. An empty Lodge and Cottage along with a last minute cancellation due to work has meant that Malcolm had a lot of water to cover! He was also here as the weather started to turn.
Malcolm selected several likely areas following a detailed discussion with fishery manager Dave. he fished close to and in a weed bed, feeding heavily with the new 12mm Cherry Lakes Essential Spice boilies with a pop up over the top.
Malcolm is promising to return again in the future and is targeting membership of the Cherry Lakes 30+ club!
Graham Barker is also doing well on Cherry Mere. To Thursday morning he has caught 4 Carp including the a brace of Mirrors of 222-08 and 22.00. The other carp weighed 16 and 17lb. He struggled for the first 36 hours before deciding to use a bait boat which has made all the difference. His successful bait was the new Nash Bait ‘The Key’ in 20mm.
The 22-00 Mirror pictured with Graham below is obviously doing well in Cherry Mere as this particular Carp has put on 6lb in just under two years. judging by the Carp’s shape there is plenty of potential to grow much further.
