Lloyd Carty lands 10 Carp but is trumped by Nathans 34-08

A short update this time as we have been fairly quiet. The only real fishing story is the good weekend that Nathan Cox and Lloyd Carty had on Cherry Mere.

Good friends Nathan and Lloyd chose to fish left and right respectively from the Pochard Lodge fishing platform.

Lloyd had by far the most action and landed 10 Carp throughout his first visit weekend. Most of his Carp were doubles with I believe several twenties. The most impressive of which is the 22lb Common in the lead photo above. It was good to hear Lloyd re port that all his Carp looked great in their winter colours and were in good condition

Nathan took a much more laid back to his fishing and I understand he just fished with boilies. He scattered a few dozen in the area he was targeting and had a 3 bait stringer around his hook bait. On Saturday night his tactics paid off big time when he landed the biggest Carp of the year so far, and our third different Cherry Mere 30+ , a Mirror of 34-08. Nathan went onto lose another fish at the net on Sunday night. He left this morning in good spirits and rested!
