Kevin Dryland lands 80! from Cherry Pool

A mixed week across Cherry Lakes with some anglers doing very well and others struggling.

Kevin Dryland stayed in Egret Lodge with his wife Amy did particularly well. he reported a mixed bag of over eighty (yes 80!) fish landed. Most of these were Carp to 16-08, but he also landed Bream and a few Tench.

Scott Clarke who stayed in Pochard Lodge also did well landing ten Carp during his four day stay. Scott, who was very much on holiday, did not fish all of the time, but clearly did well when he did fish. From memory most of the Carp landed were mid-doubles but they did include the 20-04 and 16lb Mirrors below.

Our good friends the Salter’s stayed in Cherry Lake Cottage. The fishing was typically patchy, with the Carp principally getting their heads down whenever the weather changed. Matt managed some 7 Carp including two 26lb+ Mirrors. He also had this 22lb Mirror below where Matt is pictured with his son Ollie, who spent several nights sleeping with his Dad in the bivvy. Judging by the photo below, Matt has obviously got Ollie hooked at a very early age. In this I think Matt shows good judgement…..although I am not so sure about the football team!!!!
