Jason Barnes lands ‘Ruby’ at 45-07
He also lands 2 other 30’s in his first 24 hours

Jason Barnes and his Grandad Bob Smith have been regular visitors to Cherry Lakes for a good few years, and for this summers visit they booked themselves into Osprey Lodge.
Jason has had an amazing first 24 hours or so. Indeed within 30 minutes of putting out his first rod, he had this gorgeous Ghost Mirror of 31-08, pictured below, ‘smiling’ at him from the bottom of his landing net. Our new Tangerine Squid boilies doing the trick.
At 01.30 on Saturday morning, his rod again roared off. After a good scrap, during which he knew it was a good fish, he was delighted when the net went under a big one. Jason smashed his PB when he weighed ‘Ruby’ at 45-07. See the lead photo above. Again the Tangerine boilies did the trick.
His third Carp, caught during Saturday afternoon came in at 34-08. Wow and he still has 5 days to go! I look forward to the next ‘batch’ of photos Jason and very well done.
Amazingly ‘Ruby’ is the 3rd Carp over 45lb+ , from Cherry Lake, in the last couple of weeks, during a period when a fourth 40lb+ Carp, a Ghost Mirror at 41-08, was also caught.
