Graham and Nathan have the place to themselves and do well!
Saturday 21 November 2015
We only had two anglers visiting Cherry Lakes this week, with both doing well and enjoying themselves in the mild weather.
Nathan Everard stayed in Kingfisher Lodge with his fishing partner Victoria Milton. Fishing principally during the day until around 10pm, using a variety of methods, they caught some 26 Carp including a small Tench!
Their catch included some of the smaller Carp which loved the worms, as well as 11 double figure Carp including a 21lb Common Carp. The bigger Carp were caught principally on pellets although they did also pick up some larger Carp on the worms too. I am sorry but I do not have a photo of this fish, but we do have an extensive catch report and a fantastic drawing of a Carp in the visitors book!
Graham Schweitzer staying in the Cottage was very pleased with his two fish, a fantastic two tone Common of 27-08 (which the photo does not do justice to) and a Mirror of 23-06. Both of these Carp were caught just over dark on consecutive nights. With the lake to himself it was a shame that the fish were not showing or feeding during the day as he may have been able to catch more.
Both Nathan and Graham have said they will be back next year. If you fancy a last minute trip whilst we are in our low season, particularly if we get any mild spells of weather, give us a call and we will try not to disappoint!
