Danny Taylor bags a brace of 30's+
He lands the first new 30+ of the year.....and what a beauty!
Wednesday 3 April 2019
As you know from my last update, Danny Taylor arrived for his first ever trip on Monday and landed a fabulous 38lb Common on his first cast from Osprey Lodge on Cherry Lake. Well he has done it again.
On Tuesday morning Danny landed his second thirty of his trip, this time it was a Mirror of 30-02 and what a beauty. A lovely brace of thirties. I always think it is good to catch a Mirror and a Common if you are lucky enough to get a brace of thirties in one trip. Both are pictured below. Successful tactics being a small pop up over a a small amount of feed. This Carp came from near the shallow bar some 3/4 the way across the lake.
I am delighted to confirm this is our first new thirty of the year. This Carp is a relatively young fish, I suspect around 9-10, which is thriving in Cherry Lake. It is well proportioned as well as stunning. In fact Danny said she did not look like it had been caught before. Well done Danny.
