Daniel Buffoni smashes his PB twice with 2 x 30's+

Daniel Buffoni visited Cherry Lakes for the second time this week, staying in Heron Lodge on Cherry Lake with his Dad James.

I remember having a discussion with Daniel on his arrival when he stated that his goal for the week was to break his PB by catching a 30+.

Well I am delighted to say that Daniel, who is a very capable young Carp angler, smashed his PB not just once but twice!

His first PB breaker was this Common of 32-14 above. This Carp came during a hot afternoon to a PVA bag. His second Carp was this Mirror of 32-07 pictured below. Needless to say Daniel was delighted with his results and is already trying to persuade his Dad to bring him back, so he can hopefully catch a 35lb+ fish! Daniel set himself new PB's for both Mirror and Common Carp in the same visit!

Dad James also proved he is more than capable of catching the Cherry Lake Carp. From memory I think he had 5 Carp including this 33lb Common below and Mirrors of 28 and 29lb.

This Common turned out to be a new addition to this year's 30+ catalogue. The running total is now 58 different Carp above 30lb including 9 x 40lb+.

Well done guys, it was a real pleasure having you visit and for you both to do so well in quite difficult conditions. We look forward to your return.

Parker visited all the way from Canada with his Nan Nancy. Evidently it was his 16th birthday treat. I can tell you I did not have a Nan like this!!

He proved himself to be a very good angler and had a good result during his stay in Egret Lodge. He landed two of Cherry Pool's real beauties. His biggest was the stunning 29lb Mirror pictured in the lead photo above. He completed his brace of big Carp with this cracker, a 25lb Mirror below.

Very nice and well done Parker. Unfortunately we don't expect him back anytime soon (Canada is a long way!).
