Calum Slater lands four 20′s from Cherry Mere in a weekend
Sunday 4 September 2016
Calum Slater has been staying in Pochard Lodge this weekend and has very much enjoyed his first visit to Cherry Lakes.
To Sunday afternoon Calum had landed an ten doubles, as the Carp obviously switched on in the rain of Saturday. He landed 4 different twenties including Mirrors of 22-08, 22-00, and 21-00 plus a long lean Common of 20lb. The Carp all fought well and looked in good condition as you can see from the photos below. Well done Calum.
Cherry Lake has been very quiet this weekend, this has been due in part to the guests in both the Cottage and Grebe Lodges not fishing. As a result we have been seeing a lot of Carp at either end, and in particular in front of the house. The Cherry Lake Carp always know where it is quiet!
