33-02 Mirror to birthday boy Danny! Happy days!

Danny Rowlinson and his partner Louise have just spent their first visit to Cherry Lakes in Osprey Lodge on Cherry Lake as a birthday treat and boy was it one. As well as the fabulous sunny warm weather Danny became a member of the 30+ club twice! The first time was because it was his 30th birthday and even better the second time because he landed a new PB, a Mirror of 33-02.

Danny’s Mirror came as part of a three fish catch including Mirrors of 26lb (pictured below) and 20lb. The big Mirror was the fifth different 30lb+ Carp out over the last few weeks and Danny becomes the second new member of the Cherry lakes 30+ club over the last week! I need to have a more detailed check, but both Dave and I think this is a new thirty for Cherry Lake. Happy days!

Danny found several spots in front of Osprey and fished a small snowman set up over a good spread of boilies. Most of his action came within the first two hours of daylight. Cherry Lake fished well with well with a total of ten carp landed over the weekend all of which were over 20lb.  For me the pick of these was this stunning heavily scaled 22-04 Mirror pictured below, to our good friend Andy Bolt from Heron Lodge.
